FIFA World Cup 2022: Qualification Stage

Brazil played this morning and won. Firmino played 73 minutes, did not score, Fabinho and Becker on the bench.

What was that XI from Brazil? Double pivot of Casemiro & Fred, Richarlison on the right, Bobby must have been central and then either Neymar or Jesus from the left?

It’s not too bad actually. Just need to sort out the goalie, defence, midfield and attack with perhaps a change in management and you’re mint.

We were actually very optimistic when BFF got a new leadership in 2008. The President, Kazi Salahuddin, wasn’t just a great player, he was a very accomplished manager and administrator too.

Haiti players are doing the lumberjack impression. FFS.

Good goal build up by Canada.

Almost another one. Pity that did not end up pass the keeper.

Say that I am bias
but Haiti is bloody awful, their players intended to injure Davies. The ref has let them getting away with it the entire match.

I’ve heard in the commentary about BMO Field (in Toronto). However, I am not sure if they were just talking about the quality of the pitch (it was poor in Haiti). I read somewhere that the 2nd leg will be played at Illinois.

I definitely chose the wrong career.

Be a football manager and it doesn’t matter how inept you are; the jobs will keep coming.

Three times in the same gig. Simply doesn’t happen in the real world. :joy:

Was wondering if our lads went or not.

Bit late in the day for them to go as the game is Thursday.

Firmino wasn’t anyhow mind.

Irish player did a clumsy tackle on Jota, got injured himself and yellow card, Jota seems fine.

Meanwhile Ronaldo missed a penalty and Jota should have headed home.

Haaland keeps scoring.
