FIFA World Cup 2026 - USA/Canada/Mexico (Part 1)

I agree price is way too high but still would be the best suited for what we need, good on and off the ball with a great work ethic.

Kane has dodgy ankles and needs to be protected a bit. Playing him for 96 mins seemed unnecessary, especially in the first game.

Very good performance score line wasn’t a fair reflection, should have been a bigger winning margin, the defence is my worry.

So, I’m thinking Risotto on Wednesday, then we’ll have that leftover takeaway on Thursday night…

it’s the thing that the assistant coach mentioned they don’t do the things that they’re supposed to do at the times that they’re supposed to do often enough. They did do that in the second half which is when we got those great bursts of excellent play. The defence and of itself is not the worry, you can see that the team defends as a unit. The worries when the unit breaks down and revert to the pack the box style defending. They need to get out of that headspace and put Temes away early enough which allows them to relax even more and gain more confidence.

attacking wise, i can see england go toe to toe with the best in the competition. but the midfield and espcially the defense, im not sure

like I said, it doesn’t work in isolation. It’s not defence space midfield space attack. we have stronger players in certain area so we have to play in a way that supports them the best. And you’re absolutely right that our midfield in terms of individual quality isn’t like like a Portugal or France but we have very strong forwards so the idea is get the passes through the middle third and enter the Fords as quickly as possible which is why when they start dealing with the ball in defence and midfield we start giving bugged down and we started looking vulnerable again

Well, no breakfast TV tomorrow now, or the next 5 fucking days either.
It’ll be truly nauseating

Defensively we conceded 2 when we dropped the intensity and seemed to fall for a feint and chopback too easily.

The 2 we conceded is where the team dropped too deep as a complete unit as Koptician said, and then no pressure on their player or someone covering the edge of the area, their 1st.

This improved 2nd half.

Very similar to how we defend at times.

On Bellingham, he has everything, but the worst decision he made from a footballing point of view is going to Madrid.

He would have been unplayable under Jurgen, because his head wouldn’t have been up his own arse and he would have had better role models around him.

You should move to Liverpool where not the slightest fuck is given. I have seen 1 car with England flags on it. No flags on houses etc to be seen anywhere. Maybe people are scared of being called racists or something, I don’t know.
Hopefully Harry Kane’s leg falls off overnight.

I thought that as well. How can a chopped back make you lose your defensive position so easily. These are Premier League defenders. what you said reminded me of that 7-2 hammering we took at Villa. Jürgen said that when the whole system doesn’t work in harmony we can make to look very bad. I think that’s part of why Tuchel was so incensed that we weren’t following what we’ve been working on a training

The most glaring problem is the constant back pass to the useless goalkeeper who insisted on hoofing the ball forward hence losing possession time and time again, I hope they keep Kane in cotton wool as him and Bellingham are the only world class players we have you can maybe add Rice to those two.

Most teams only have 2-3 world class players though. I’m not saying I expect England to win anything just saying that’s the case across the cup and I would say ours all showed today others haven’t yet.
