We are seeing lots of goals this World Cup. I like it. Mind you, it might be something to do with the increased amount of weaker teams due to the expanded format.
Ronaldo was among the goals and after the game he reminded me why so many people dislike him by saying, “I’m back.”
I know I’m a dinosaur but it’s a team game. We all know he has had an amazing career but he would be more loved if he was less egotistical. The way the media hypes up the individual doesn’t help, and it adds to shallow fans who are personality driven.

I’ve come out to the garden to chill before going back in for the England game. Sun is shining, humidity is low, and it’s a very pleasant 25C. I’m watching birds, squirrels and a cheeky little chipmunk who is filling his boots on birdseed.
I made an afternoon cocktail, a mojito, using jalapeño infused limeade to pour over a tumbler full of ice with a little tequila in there too.
Sneaky afternoon off, half day PTO, and life is good.
