FIFA World Cup 2026 - USA/Canada/Mexico (Part 2)

He didn’t develop early enough to be international standard at the younger groups so when France came in for him at U18 levels he jumped at it. He’s subsequently said France were always his dream but he never really had the option to pressure test that.

i know barcola scored but erase the 10 or so minutes he had in the first half, he has been largely absent…this is my issue with him

olise needs to stop it

Actually that was a bit naughty on Gyokeres

Fuck sake Sweden, have a go

Not great scouting by the England setup to have France come in and pluck a kid out of Reading for a U18 spot. England had a massive headstart on him, and I guess just never did anything with it.

I think they are, but they’re just not very good.

You´re right they´re not very good

But they seem to have no urgency. No bravery. No bit between their teeth.

Like lets fucking give it to em!

The most dangerous lead in football…

They are an epitome of their manager, bland!

Aw why did Gyokeres run to the far post???

Kounde looked such a clown there. This is what I mean, have a go. You can get at France. Better teams than them have lost to worse teams than Sweden.

Always remember a quote from a forward I played with if you are making a run as a sole striker in the box on a cross, make it to the front post as the ball has to past there to get to the back post

Does make sense. Also was the only place Isak could really put the ball there and Gyokeres had to get in front of the defender.

why is zaire not getting any game time in that midfield

France could probably win the world cup with their reserves.

I think France can definitely be got at, but you can’t afford to squander any chances to score because they are so dangerous when attacking. Sweden have had a few opportunities tonight but they’re just not clinical in front of goal.
