Never in doubt.

Bit of everything there. Ponderous stuff from England. Not great defensively. Pickford weak for the goal.

But on the other side, lots of chances, their goalie played ever so well, frustration piling up. Kane to the rescue to level it, then a brilliant second goal.

I’m not expecting too much from this England side, but we are still there. Let’s see how far we can go. Next up Mexico at the Azteca. For all the reasons we know, very tough game.

I got stuck at work so watched it on my work monitor. Pubs around the Mansion House tube station are going nuts!!

Believe me, we’ve got some idiots here, too. Today, people were actually calling for Glasner. Or suggesting Glasner should swap places with Rangnick—that kind of nonsense. So, until Klopp takes over, Tuchel really shouldn’t remain available. Just to be safe. :upside_down_face:

Shearer started that here around the 88th minute

That goal really was the quintessential Kane goal, a combination of little elements he must have worked on relentlessly - position, movement, the touch to get a little space, developing that much power while coming around the ball, and the awareness of where the posts were.

like clock work

Digging up a two hour old conversation but it was a clear penalty. I don’t particularly like Kane and I’m at best ambivilent towards England but for me a goalkeeper charging in like that, missing the ball and making contact with the player has committed a foul. It’s not Kane’s job to get out of the way.

Never thought that this would be the case, but Tuchel’s England has so far looked worse than Southgate’s.

Mexico are going to massacre them if they show up like this.

Regarding the right back situation, can England bring in a replacement from the 55 that were originally selected or do they only have to deal with what they have with them?

Southgates England wouldn’t have won that game from going 1 down.
