One thing that stood out to me is the number of passes that penetrates a defensive line. They may not come to anything but they retain possession, rinse and repeat.
A lot to see and learn from Spain there.

France and Spain do seem quite a bit ahead of the others in the competition, if only LFC could appoint a manager from a region with links to both and assemble a super team so we could all basque in the glory of multiple trophy wins

EXACTLY!! They only pass square when they absolutely need to. And even then the immediate next pass is vertical because the off the ball movement of their entire team is fantastic!
