FIFA World Cup 2026 - USA/Canada/Mexico (Part 2)

The 3rd place finishers introduces a lot of uncertainty. I wonder if they considered allocated those teams to ties based on turn around time rather than placing.

South Korea didn’t seem to care much either to be fair

Always had a soft spot for Uruguay and this isn’t the best news, albeit it’s almost expected at this point:

A coup by the Uruguayan players against Marcelo Bielsa is revealed | MARCA

On a separate note, I hope that Iraola proves to be a lot more flexible than his mentor.

Nah Bielsa has always been highly strung and Iraola comes across as a very amenable chap.

Bielsa may well be the most influential team coach in world football, but he really hasn’t won that much in his career. Most of the managers who have followed his ideas have been successful in finding ways to moderate them and apply them effectively.

We are resting almost the entire team due to knock out game being so soon after (Tuesday, I believe). Calculated risk. Obviously would be nice to win the group. Some Norwegians love this, some hate it, some in between.
I am so in between that I have decided to have no opinion.

They are showing the game on Scream Stage, the largest one, at the Tons of Rock festival in Oslo, btw !

Also, I rowed in the air yesterday with tens of thousand. But that was only because Bruce Dickinson insisted to thave the crowd do the thing; which was very fun but resulted in a lot of beer and water flying everywhere.

I’m almost certain that Iraola is much more sensible, but after Slot I’m not taking anything for granted.

There were speculation about the rotation a few hours ago but I was hoping it’s not true because Germany would avoid a potential match against France in the round of 16 if Norway win tonight.

BBC are desperate in content creation at the moment the third place article was terrible. This one seems similarly awful

Sorry !
The message is basically that ā€œthis is a great oppurtunity to impressā€ regarding other players. And they are not bad, mind you (but lack the magic of Haaland etc.), but the question is more how gelled they are. But they are going to be led by Patrick Berg, so we have a very solid captain. Also, Haaland , Ćødegaard etc. may enter in the second half.

But yes, we have a bit less of a need to win than France , since if they do, they get to stay at their camp and hotel , which they would like to obviously. But we would have to move regardless, I understand.

So France naturally big favorites. But the ball is round and things could happen.

Ok, 10 man change IS extreme,. But our excuse is that there is no other team in the world cup that has a shorter time period to the knock out game. Ours come so fast. There is exactly 48 hours between the games.

I am just hoping for the best

Might be a short lived watch for me then .
Who remains in the team?
The goalkeeper?

Why can’t people just stay quiet for even 1 minute to pay respect to those perished in the Venezuela earthquake. Bloody morons.

Did the commentators even mention it? You can bet your life they will if any England fans do the same tomorrow night.

France Norway was silent

On TV, I could hear some noises.

Curious to what Schelderup can do in this game. Tough one for him and in a weakened side.

Had decent impact so far.
