what i cant go is the minority of England fans who sing their shit songs like 2 world wars 1 world cup, 10 German bombers etc…

they ruin it for good England fans.

also, if England do win it, i dont want to hear about it on TV for the next 50 years

these are the reason why alot of people form the home nations dont want England to win the WC

It’s not about whether you support England or are a fan of theirs. It’s about xenophobic chants like ‘Ten German bombers’ or ‘Two World Wars and a World Cup’. Yes, in my view they are xenophobic, because the Second World War has been over for 81 (!!!) years. The Dutch don’t sing that sort of rubbish.

In fact, there are no such chants when Germany play the Netherlands. For Germans and Dutch people of my generation (I was born in 1995), the Second World War (during which Germany, unfortunately, occupied the Netherlands) no longer plays a role.

England playing with no pace. Just plodding around, passing slowly, no zip about it at all. England are experts at playing down to the level of modest opponents.

I fully expect an uptick in the second half, but this is not very good, at all.
