I daresay the fake jerseys would have paid more wages to the entities in Bangladesh which make them.

Their childhood is spent in the academies where passing and team play is prioritised.

Even someone like Arteta was seen as a great passer during his time in Arsenal. And he probably never even was picked for international sides in major tournaments.

Its not like England haven’t produced some good passers even in recent times.

Lallana had decent passing skills but he wasn’t without his fitness and injury concerns.

Trent is a great long passer but he’ll be stuck to his dreams of winning the balon d’or. It’s impossible to make a team for him to he the primary playmaker in the international game.

But the quick decision making and passing of the Spanish midfielders is second to none.

Missing this abomanation will at least somewhat ease the pain of any England fans sad about going out in the semi-finals later

Three of the best midfielders ever. Their level is absolutely unattainable. Just three absolute freaks whp happened to emerge at the same time.

I don’t think you can just copy what other countries do and get the same results. Different cultures develop different types of players, and that’s a good thing.

Remember when he coached them for a period… yeah everyone tries to pretend that didn’t happen.

Add xabi Alonso to the mix.

They were one of my favourite collections of players. They were loaded with talent top to bottom and he fucking ruined them

Yup the very example of a shite coach… Circumstances destroy some he was just a drug ridden ego who ruined his own career and then tried to ruin others.

Greatest player possibly but…

Some people aren’t cut out to be coaches. Appointing Diego to that post was a sign of desperation by the Argentina football association. They thought a childhood hero would inspire the team as well as the public.

It’s like gazza being appointed as the England coach.

Suppose England never got that desperate then.

The England Mavericks had enough self preservation to not attempt to throw their hat into the ring.

The England media can be vicious when it’s at its worst and no amount of previous plaudits would save the coach from being savaged.

I guess @koptician can start laughing at the joke anytime now

I wonder if we will see 2nd half cramps/injuries before it makes tactical sense for Spain/Argentina start them?

Still better than appointing Rooney mind.

That was my point about those midfielders and their current level of midfielders. I literally said they“re not unattainable.

You should absolutely copy what better countries do if they do things much better than you do and they consistently get results. Why wouldn“t you, if you want to win stuff regularly?

You can have your own twist, as culture dictates, but you should always learn from the best and why they win. Focusing on playing with the ball is not particularly culturally or nationally idiosyncratic either.
