A bit lucky to get a corner after such a bad choice

Jonathan David is disappointing in these 2 matches.

Game over.

Nevertheless, I’m still very proud of our boys. They are taking team Canada a step forward.

It’s actually deserved. It’s excellent football, with good passing and no mercy.
Canada has done nothing like that and have failed to create very dangerous chances.

Sad. I am sorry, but this isn’t undeserved.

Goodnight Canada.

I guess this means we’ll have to go back to discussing Canadian dams and roads.

Unfortunately Canada look like they are wading through maple syrup in comparison to the speed and quality during that counter attack for the second goal.

Almost a third there as well on the break.

Ounani (spelling) on fire this evening.

You can discuss beavers, not something I’ve ever had much interest in.

Superb suggestion. They build dams too.

I wonder if they fill potholes. Are there such things as Canadian potholes?

They are too far away from Toronto. We have plenty of these potholes

Well Canada legalized recreational cannabis nationwide in October 2018 so presumably they do …

I think this is the best Canada have ever done. Fair play to them. They put a lot into the game and kept it close with Morocco, for a while at least. But at some point the team with the better quality is going to emerge, even if for most of it they have not shown their best.

This is football. All the games aren’t going to be amazing spectacles for the neutral.

A prediction for the England game. England won’t be very good, either. Mexico will seek to swarm them, amped up by a passionate home crowd. England will not play an open or expansive game in the altitude. They will tuck in, relatively speaking, and hope to win it with a moment of quality here and there from some of the match winners in the ranks.

Sometimes, often times, football is like that. We remember the best games and the best parts for years, but a lot of it is a slog in the moment, for various reasons.

France have the ability, in spades, to quicken the pulse and show us something that has even neutrals smiling. I will tune in to that one hoping to see it.

But they are so cute…is that even a beaver though?

Disappointed the Alphonso Davies is unfit to come on to give it a go

I just can’t wait until 2030 to see CR7 walking around the Portuguese forward line at his home World Cup.
