Well, if they win tomorrow it’s back to back World cups and Copas for him. He’s yet to not win a tournament.

But the amount of chances missed by France at 4-3 , it could easily have been France taking the coveted 3rd place trophy.

Definitely could have finished 3rd had they been bothered to play the first half
Didn’t see the game, and this is the first one I regret missing. But kudos to all involved in this thread during the match. That was highly entertaining!

Before the tournament I had a group of 2, 4 and 5 best teams.
The main 4 reached the SF’s. Portugal was my 5th pick, just behind them.
But I did think that the last two World and European champions’ levels didn’t drop since they last won it and got some interesting new tools.
I mean, it’s not like Argentina are playing some amazing stuff, but we know football is like this sometimes. I’m not surprised with who got right near the end and now we’ll see who do it.
Oh and… Spanish football is not dead. They’re still the masters in some fundamental and most important football aspects.

That is gross. It’s the World Cup trophy, it doesn’t need some vulgar, purposeless bag and the association with the brand sullies and cheapens the whole thing. Yuck

Remember England in the first half missed so many chances on the ball all because of dithering on the ball taking too many touches before shooting on all the ones on one situations hence the score should have been 10:8 to England.

The Americanisation of tomorrow will do my head in. With that in mind, the alarm is set 1 minute before ko at 4.59am to avoid all the pre match hype nonsense.
And then half time. Off for a walk. 15 minutes or 30? Again to avoid a shite show.
Then at full time it’s switched off to avoid the mother of all shite shows. Trump will own it.
Football match viewing only which I am looking forward to.
