The present FIFA and UEFA pairing is as bad as the previous one. 
Majestic Qatar is now hosting a FIFA World Cup. A country with a rich football tradition, open and welcoming to all people of all colors, sexual orientation and nationality. Ideal climate as well. I mean notwithstanding that none of the above is true. And the inconvienent fact that they treated migrant workers as slaves killing approximately 6,500 of them. Klopp was spot on as usual when he went off against that journalist asking him about it. They really should have done more. Quite frankly, the whole football world should have done more. What beats the shit out of me is how people seem to have just forgotten / ignored how this bid got awarded in the first place. I thought when Blatter and Platini were brought to trial this year that the whole thing was about to get a re-examination. But no , nothing to see here , no need to go into all that again. And then , even more unbelievably , they were both acquited.
He’s using textbook whataboutism and tactics of weaponising liberal values against itself. Just look at the way he would do a sly quick smirk after accusing people of being racists for raising questions.

Interestingly it is workers of certain races that have made up the vast bulk of dead and abused workers. There are very few white Europeans amongst those numbers. Apparently pointing this out is racist.
Unfortunately the words bounce of Infantinos head with little impact. Theres been years of criticism and theyve just pushed ahead with their eye on one thing and one thing only.
