I donā€™t mind ian darke but what is he supposed to do with landon.

This Jude guy looks good, sign him ASAP for Ā£150m.

Their keeper was concussed in a head to head collision. They ended up keeping him on after lengthy treatment only to take him off minutes later as he couldnā€™t even stand anymore.

True. Still, Donovan was touched by Everton, so no wonder heā€™s crap!

Oh the BBC have Micah Richards ā€¦ I thought we could have avoided him for 6 weeks.

Letā€™s not get carried away as they did smash Honduras at a similar stage in 2018.

Insistent rumours in Switzerland these last days, coming from sources inside FIFA, say that their headquarters will eventually be moved from Zurich to Doha. It should be noted that Infantino has already moved out from Switzerland with his family, and lives now permanently in Qatar.

Englandā€™s draw under Gareth has largely been kind until we get into the semiā€™s or play someone half decent and get knocked out.

No different to this shambles of a group.

Iran Tv hasnā€™t shown that their players refused to sing their anthem. Players were threatened before not to do exactly this and they know the risks. But they did it, and heaven knows what might happen to them back home now.

My utmost respect

@site team, (that failed!) Thread per England game as most posters here follow England?

Yeah. Qatar had been pursued hard for the financing but rejected it on the basis of it being a bad deal. this was all prior to Jared taking an official role in the whotehouse.

The blockade started about 6 months into the Trump admin, a just a couple of weeks after Kushner and Trump had an off the books meeting with leaders of Saudi and UAE. All official avenues of US government, including the State Department and DoD publicly, whose heads were excluded from said meeting and not read into it, opposed itā€¦until Trump personally supported it via tweet. There continued to be ongoing discrepancy between the official position of the State Department and Trumpā€™s personal comments. Whether connected or not, the Qataris definitely viewed it all as retaliation for pulling out of the financing deal and saw themselves on the outside of an influence peddling game they had previously been cautious about not getting caught up in due to normal perceptions of impropriety. They explored multiple options to rebalance the situation, including providing Muller with key information about the foreign influence in the Trump whiteshouse, but declined antagonistic options and decided the easiest thing was to just pay them the same way everyone else was. So, about a year into the blockade they agreed to the financing deal for the building that they had previously rejected.

I get the game was shit, but the game yesterday started with what felt like a prepared 30 minute script explaining who the teams were. Commenting about the actual game seemed like a frustrating distraction.

Trippier has been absolutely terrible with the ball

Not a big shock, that pesky ā€˜rule of lawā€™ thing has been getting in the way lately.
