De Jong is looking better against a strong Senegal than Bellingham looked against Iran man. I’m kinda glad the scum didn’t get him. Him besides Casemiro would have been more than I could tolerate playing for them.

I’m just saying. A 100m player compared to an 85m player, and the 85m looks better to my eyes. I’ve yet to be convinced Bellingham is a 100m player to be honest.

Bellingham would have finished that chance that De Jong totally fluffed by faffing around in the box.
He’s also younger and has more upside. De Jong is unlikely improve much more

senegal are lacking final-third movement to open passing lanes. they’re too stagnant.
this is the problem with a counter-attacking team, they sprint 50y up the pitch in possession and if the defenders are able to get behind the ball, the runners all stop to catch their breath and the movement dies.
really need some diagonals across the dutch back line and someone to hit a runner with a key pass in-movement to open up an shooting opportunity.

VVD has been heading better than that this season.
As dominant as he is in the air a lot of his headers off corners don’t even hit the target. Prefer Konate or Matip at the end of set-plays.

I think it’s the way they work in tandem to be honest. Throw Nunez on there as well and the opposition crap the bed.
Napoli for example. I do think if all three start to play more we will see more goals from corners and set pieces.
