Hereās a piece on the Carra tax bill story
He isnt skirt and has the money to pay it. The case relates to a tax scheme set up by Gordon Brown to help prop up the then struggling British film industry. Lots of prem footballers of Caraās age had their money invested in these totally legit schemes by their money men. But in the years since there has been a lot of fraud identified in the schemes, completely unrelated to the footballers that has caused a reevaluation of acceptable losses these people have already claimed. Added to that the Cameron government later changed the rules in the schemes after the fact. The result is a tax bill that is strongly contested, with an advocacy group existing to challenge the legality of the way this group of footballers are being treated. And HRMC has decided to pursue payment of anyway.

Generally speaking, tax laws shouldnāt apply to closed tax years, but I donāt think it is a legal requirement. Itās just considered bad faith.
Most people tend to use accountants for legal compliance rather than tax avoidance. If this is purely from his tax specialists, then I do have some sympathy for him.

The whole thing is WAY above my head, but what it seems is a portion of the scheme included long term deferment of the taxes. So this is something where Carra signed up to up 25 years ago and only now is the bill coming due, but is doing so with completely different rules being applied to it than the version he signed up for. That appears to be the basis of his refusal to pay, as the bill is being actively litigated.

He was quick and had a very good passing game but he was just so daft. Like a labrador chasing a ball.

Ohh like SOO daft! I remember under Jurgen being at Anfield and (I think it was Birmingham city?) we were leading 3-0 and as soon as Moreno came on and got caught too far upfield and we conceded.
(Two other things I remember from that match: how unbelievably quick Gini was at mopping up danger in central areas and how ridiculously hard Mane hit a shot for his goal.)
And of course there was the EL final to forget

What a great opportunity for him. Iām not quite sure why he isnāt playing anymore - heās only 33 and had a really good spell at Charlton last season - but getting straight in with the England U21 set up is an excellent stage for a young coach.

I had to summarise everything and try to say the information to him as short as I could because the player already has a lot of information. I just wanted to make it as short and sharp as I could.
There was nothing special Klopp looked at me and asked, āWere you able to just make a summary about what I said?ā
I said, āYeah, yeah,ā and then he could go ahead.ā
