Former players and managers - general discussion

You could chuck Kevin Keegan in as well, although he didn’t have the tash. It was a surprisingly popular fashion faux pas at the time. In fact, Harry Enfield got one of his most popular sketches from it.

Oh yess. I remember Harry Enfield sketch. “Calm down , calm down”. The perm and the tache was very popular then.
My mum used have a perm in those days. It used to last a good year.

But we all looked like that in Liverpool in those days Maria including me, although my hair was naturally curly

The Eighties

The dirtbag chic aesthetic appears to be in vogue with the youth, in a non ironic way. I’d say 50% of the 20 somethings in my gym all have their look based on the lifeguard kid from Stranger Things

I’m not sure this goes back far enough to assist @cynicaloldgit.

Mine was either Hansen or Ronnie, fuck knows.

I’m guessing Tommy Smith, possibly Emlyn. It was around the time of the Uefa cup win that I started taking an interest in where everyone went before Doctor Who came on.

00/01 was my first season as a fan when I was 10, so Redknapp and Fowler.

Emlyn Hughes. But it’s a bit of a blur. I can only remember bits and bobs from that time. I can remember everything from the mid 1980s, later Souness time, very clearly.

I was born during Mark Wright’s captaincy but the first one I remember was Paul Ince.
