But how else can we complain about women’s football???
If you can’t work it out yourself, there’s no point me trying to explain it.
made in China. nuff said
Still they both have an issue with the shirt, I understand the Breast part but you were trying make it a bigger point about women’s football and there isn’t really anything there.
The shirts aren’t evidently very good.
Men are saying that the shirt soaks in sweat and makes it heavier.
Women have the same problem but are also circumspect about playing on live TV with a sweaty shirt… Aren’t wet T shirt contests degrading to women ?
I assume they enter of their own volition.
The Aston Villa situation is different, in that the players don’t have any choice in what kit they wear.
Exactly.
Not many women want to involuntarily be in that position. It’s not unreasonable to conclude that these shirt materials are more inconvenient to women than they are to men.
Surely their performance is hampered when they are self conscious
its actually not that interesting in my opinion…
its the minuetest of contracdictions possible and given where the game has started to where it is now, it feels a bit base to point it out.
theres are other differences as well, namely around when a women is carrying a child in her womb…this is not a subject that is relevant in the mens game either…feels a bit petty to point it out though…
the shirts are shit…i think thats really the take home here…
Thought he’d be a reliable squad filler for us but now I understand…

I have a feeling this guy considers himself one of the elite players and viewed Leicester (in latter years) and Villa beneath him. Off to Saudi Arabia maybe
He is a quality player but a good example of the reality that the way football is played now if you’re not the right fit for the football your manager is trying to play your quality is going to be largely meaningless. Look at how quickly Juan Mata went from one of the best players in the world during his early period at Chelsea to relatively irrelevant after Jose returned there which was followed by a move to play for Moyes at Utd. At Villa they have two very good CMs in Kamara and Luiz and unless his manager wants to play a third in there, which he hasnt been doing, it’s going to be difficult to see how he moves either of those guys out of a 2 man midfield.
He should wait patiently till we buy one of those midfielders.
About two years ago, we were reliably linked with McGinn and Watkins and I scoffed at those links, claiming we needed to aim much higher than them. I hereby take my slice of humble pie and apologise for such an arrogant comment. They are outstanding under Emery, and not just in Brendan Rodgers sense of the word.
Didn’t rate Emery much at Arsenal, thought he was a bit of a joke really, but you have to take your hat off for how well - and how quickly - he’s got Villa performing since he arrived.
Their squad on paper is solid if a little unspectacular, yet somehow they’re deservedly in third and four points off the top. Incredible.
Sevilla, Villarreal and Villa isn’t really the same as PSG and Arsenal. He’s a pretty good manager, sometimes maybe more suited to those sides a little bit below the very best, where the expectation is to win. Might earn himself another shot somewhere similar. As for Villa, we’ll see where they end up. But yeah, positive so far.
There is no joke with him, it’s “just” the language barrier. Footballing wise he’s very capable, perhaps not to create teams that need to dominate, but very adaptable.
I have just realized that their next match is Arsenal. Their December run is actually really favourable, with a match at Old Trafford being the most difficult after this weekend.
It is funny how you have to go back and look at a season schedule again when a club like Villa has been recently steps up to ‘big game’ status.
I find it strange that they fold so easily when they play away - I haven’t watched them that often to be able to debate about the cause of that but I think our match against them in September was the easiest one we had this season. I’d be bricking it if we had to face them now at their own ground, though. I wish they got something out of their match at Arsenal but looking at their away form and Arsenal’s overall form, I just don’t see it.
Yeah, that was what led to my comment about looking at the schedule all over again. After watching that City match I was wondering when we play at Villa Park.
I do think they have a significant drop when they are away from their crowd, but I would expect them to be growing in confidence now. Arsenal away might be a stretch at the moment though.
