The final whistle at Villa Park has just gone, this after back to back wins over the Cheaters and the Arse in the past few days… I think it can be safely said, there is not a single Villa fan at this moment, would swap Unai for Gerard…!
Crikey.
As a gay man… yeah to be fair
Thielemans caught thinking of Dom.
This has me in bits
Who’s having the better season between Girona, Leverkusen, PSV, Nice and Villa?
Martinez banned for the Semi final first leg of the ECL - home tie first. Pushed his luck with the shit-house antics last night.
Learnt something new about footy last night. Any cards picked up during the 120 mins of playing time don’t apply during the penalty shootout, hence Martinez ended up on two cards across the evening. Banned for picking three up during the tie
Wish Villa all the best in the cup but that guy is a twat.
Last English club in Europe this season, are they not?
Yeah and Martinez is still a douchebag
I heard it strongly rumoured that Emery wants Martinez gone ASAP, over his WC antics
Might be dragging since… but it will be interesting to see if he finally gets his wish this summer
Haha. Yeah, his “World Cup antics” (ie, winning the fucking thing) would surely weigh heavy on any manager.
He gave a little back after the Lille fans hissed and booed the entire game. Soft as puréed shit (or “cuisine”, as they like to call it).
A nice trip down memory lane for those of us who remember Villa’s 1982 triumph; a history lesson for those who don’t:
Gordon Cowans is a good shout for the most under appreciated England player of my life
Pretty sure i got up at 1am to watch it when i lived in Oz. I would have been 10 years old
That’s Duran off to Saudi - a mad transfer. It must be that the club just got sick of him, and he’s only interested in the money - waste of a career, but its his life.
I assume Watkins stories were all silly season madness and if anything, Watkins might see an uplift in form now that Duran’s chaos is sorted.
Rumour is that he was very disruptive behinds the scenes - late for meetings, not eating right, bit mad and unpredictable around the changing room.
No doubt he has a lot of talent but some of his goals have felt very lucky or random so far and he’s outperforming xG by an unsustainable level.
Moving to Al-Nassr unfortunately confirms what Villa were slowly coming to recognise anyway - he’s not interested in becoming the best player he can be, he’s interested in getting as rich as possible as quickly as possible.
