The hi-vis jacket is the ultimate symbol of authority. I don’t know why the King turns up with a crown on to open parliament. That’s just tacky ostentatious tat. He should turn up with a hi-vis jacket and orange safety hat because no-one is going to argue with that.

I have a hi-vis jacket as I work outdoors and at night.It’s great for keeping the cold and wet out so I use it outside of work at times.
People keep coming up to me at festivals asking where they need to go, that pisses me off

As a Site Manager this is almost a non negotiable. I actually provide the Labourer a Stanley with a nice sharpe blade and give them an ultimatum of either they all go, or you go….
