Can’t put an exact number on it, but my dad’s clear admiration for LFC (he’d grown up in North Wales and would catch the ferry to watch them as a boy) and for Mr Shankly in particular, meant that I was already under the spell by the time he began to rebuild towards his second great side.

Collecting football cards in 1970, Yeats, Lawrence, Thompson, Lawler…then the crush on Steve Heighway in 1971.

Lot of years, good and bad memories.
Happy Birthday, the other bird in my life.

I’ve gone off the first kit I got, I think it was that season and i think it was in the first season of it (2 year kits whatever next).

The first football game I can recall was from 1985 when I was 5. Those red kits made an impression on me; I am still under their spell 40 years later.

58 years for me…stood in the old paddock area…on a little wooden stool…wouldn’t change it for the world…

63 years for me I was only 16 when I started thanks to my English teacher. The number of times I was told it was an easy choice when you are winning.

We have a winner!

Goddamn, people, I didn’t realise this was the SAGA forum!

I’m feeling relatively sprightly at a mere 47 years of age!

How many years supporting though? I’m a newcomer as it’s only 36 for me.

A bit less for me, '96 was my first year supporting, my mum was very anti-football and had to seek it out for myself in my teens.

I was a small kid in primary school. We had my uncle and his scouse in laws over, as we were the only family living in West London at the time and they were all off to see the FA cup. We lost the FA cup 2-1 to Man Utd, I was so upset, I wouldn’t stop crying.
To cheer me up, i got a new LFC scarf, hat and some chocolate. It was 49 years (1977) for me.

Happy birthday Liverpool FC & Liverbirds Bella and Bertie!

Been a supporter for 21 years. I hope to make it to Anfield one day, even just to see the venue in person.

The tour was enjoyable even if you just get that.

If you can do a tour with a Liverpool legend, that would be a bonus.

I was at that game.

Trying to renew my membership with the Liverbird is doing my head in. I didn’t renew it last season.
