DCL looked to have pulled up lame towards the end, and I really hope so. Not because I have particular animus towards him, but with Rondon now done for the season I really really really want it to be their awful thuggary as much as their shitness that gets them sent down.

They have become tiresome and the club and its fanbase remain stuck in the past…
If the jammy bas**rds survive though… Lampard will relegate them next season for sure, the guy is clueless as a football manager. Unfortunately another season of them in the top flight means surviving at least two more games against them, where I anticipate their thuggery and shithouse tactics to reach unknown depths.

I was chatting to a really nice Chelsea fan a similar age to me on Saturday on my way back to pick the car up in Watford. He was disgusted with the Chav fans who were singing songs against Scousers, and we weee both decrying the hatred shown by a lot of fans from all clubs nowadays.
As you say, all fanbases including ours have some fans who are horrible. Queuing up to go in on Saturday, thd turnstile I was headed for broke down. There was some grumbling, but what struck me was that a good few of the younger ‘scally’ type lads went straight into the agitated/aggressive mode. It basically took about 30 seconds of the queue not moving for them to become antagonistic. The turnstile was working again after a couple of minutes but the nastiness shown in the short time it took to sort it left me with a bad impression.
I’m not saying that this is typical of any fanbase or age/gender group within that fanbase. Just saying that some of our lot are no angels.
