I’ll have a bitter please...It’s the Everton thread

Just the Anfield noise echo.

It’s a bitter groundhog day.

A bit of a coup if they pull it off. Next thing they’ll be playing football.

Trying to buy him with the £271 they took in the club shop the other day?

Don’t underestimate the opportunity to play Liverpool at least twice a season.

This would disappoint me greatly.

Spoke last spring about how many of their players would leave. Which is good in a way, but with the season soon approaching, they’re still very short. Currently down to 19 senior players, 3 out of which are goalkeepers.

This comment from a blue after their game yesterday amused me…

Slightly embarrassing to me that empty stadium.

Honestly, maybe I’m daft, but I thought we had fans in America.

Entirely not made up Breaking News: The deal for Malick Fofana to Everton is off and the player is said to be fuming. When his representatives said they had received a call from Liverpool he assumed they meant the club not just the 0151 area code.

Everton now said to be in a head-to-head with north west relegation rivals Man Utd to sign forward Scrapin DeBarrell from Dutch 2nd division side De Graafschap for £271 and a bunch of left over mega-store grand opening merch.

David Moyes on Everton’s transfer window: “We’re a long way away just now. I would have hoped it would have been much further down the line than we are. We’ve been in for a lot of really good players. Unfortunately, a lot them have said no at the moment.”

Quite surprising that players aren’t queuing around the lavatory block to play for a busted flush at the camp poo :restroom:

Thankfully there’s still time for them to bring Dominic Calvert-Loo-in

Let them bite the bait and bid 40m for Doak.

Think they’ve got that £17 to blow the transfer market out of the water.

The Ev have made a signing - Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich, Google tells me he is a 19 year old Morrocan left back who spent the second half of last season on loan in Spain with Real Valladolid. He played 13 times for the side which ultimately finished bottom of La Liga so sounds like he’ll fit right in.

Update: Just seen where the money for this deal has come from - Everton have sold their women’s team to the parent company which owns the club - a move that will improve their compliance with the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability rules (PSR).

Guess they’ve won the transfer window again then.

Well they don’t have to worry about Europe do they….

Do find the whole thing dodge.

Another club cheating PSR rules by selling their womens team to themselves

Selling women for entertainment, what I would expect from Chelsea, but the bottom of the barrel needs company I guess.
