So many great memories of “The Saint” as a young lad watching Liverpool

Shankly signing him and Ron Yeats was the starting point for the club being what is today.

Always came across as a top bloke and his love for the club was clear.

Sad to hear of the Saint’s passing.
Saw him play a couple of times,certainly a player you don’t forget.
A tough nut,in what was a tough era.

i cant add much to these great tributes, im not as qualified as you guys, i didnt grow up watching him or indeed seeing his face on the box.

i am aware of his impact at the club and can see why the supporter base loves him so dearly.

Every passing away is sad. At least he lived till ripe age and died of natural causes. Still makes me sad. Rest in peace, legend.
