Iāve never seen Ibou as a VVD replacement long term. Heās a fantastic defender and seems great for the dressing room. For me he is a player who needs a strong voice and organiser next to him, to ensure he plays to his potential. I would love him to stay, however he isnāt the long term answer to VVās eventual retirement.
At least we are not waiting until his contract has almost expired. Come on, Iba. Do the right thing.

Hopefully he signs it very soon. Just looking at the clips the club puts out, Ibou seems very happy. He is well respected and playing for the Premier League Champions who look to be going from strength to strength. We just signed his compatriot Ekitike too.
Assuming the offer is a good one - and I would pay him the 200k per week he was rumored to be asking for, I hope we can put this one to bed and move into the season with the Konate question settled.

Konate has to be excited at the project with Liverpool. Looking at the incomings.
He has his chance to be the senior defender once Van Dijk goes. If he has his head turned by PSG and Real , then fuck him. It wonāt be about the wages.
We have no idea whatās in his head. He can look perfectly happy on the outside because thatās his character and at the same time he might decide to go down Trentās route.
