Dear me, the indecisiveness he showed last night.

:man_facepalming:t2:

You’d think there are things weighing on his mind, eh…

:rofl::sob:

That’s a bit what his level was like in some of the first games this season.

Primary school.

I see he’s rejected a 3rd contract offer. Oh well, another big transfer fee lost to RM next season. Hate it!!!

Frustrating that we don’t have healthy enough competition for Konate so that, when he’s in this period of form, he simply gets benched.

Now we have a situation where he plays all the time as long as he’s fit, regardless how well he plays.

He’s very good when he’s in form, but he’s no excellence type of CB some like to portray him as, or as he himself might think.

The trouble with Konate is that we know how good he can be. But there is a huge range of performance from him. He can throw in a 2/10 as easily as a 10/10.

Gomez doesn’t get as high, but he doesn’t drop as low either.

He can be very good and very very bad the next game. Guehi would have been perfect.

Atleti thrashed Real Madrid today. Good audition for fitting in that side if that was what it was

Very tricky though. Gomez besides VVD has always done the job. Could he get a look in for run of games?

I would definitely play him midweek.

I’d give him a 3/10 for midweek.

& the 2 games at CB he played at Newcastle & Spurs, you know…when we conceded 6 goals and he was nowhere to be seen for about 5 of them, would’ve given him 2/10s too.

Gomez at CB is just a big no no.

I don’t think I’ve seen this level of inconsistency from a Liverpool player. Like others have said, he’s a world class player one day and a Sunday league player the very next game. I wonder if there are things playing on his mind like, I don’t know, his impending move to Real Madrid. I mean, it’s not like we haven’t seen it already.

Also, it seems we’ve painted ourselves in the corner with our CB situation again.

TBH i’ve never been a big fan of Konate,

he’s not a bad player, but he’s not a great player either,

i think he’s he’s easily replaceable

I was really surprised he was linked with Madrid even on free transfer

Ibou needs to take a leaf out of Virg’s book, very rarely does Virg get involved in physical battles with players, he just attacks the ball, no pulling, pushing or wrestling for the ball, he just goes and wins it.

2nd half today, Ibou did that and was better.

The other areas he struggles is he gets out of position and is guilty of ‘ball watching’

Lastly he isn’t the strongest on the ball and opposition teams let him have it as they feel he is the least threat when in possession.

A lot of negatives, but they are areas he needs to improve on, love him as a personality and at times he can be a monster defensively, but this season he has been more miss than hit.

Is the contract situation affecting him?

We all want the real Ibou to stand up and stand out.

Well he’s turned down 3 contract offers if he is set on moving it shouldn’t distract him in the slightest.
