Budanov claimed they had 8 in the active fleet before Ukraine shot down 2. Going with that, they would have 4 before this strike. Unclear if both of these were in the comissioned fleet as of yet, but one of them had radar turned, so experts claims it looks active.
Regardless, I find it most useful to err on the side of caution, which is why i initially was very skeptical of the 41 planes destroyed number when there was no such data avaible (initial battle damage assessment is often skewed). However, this video shows that was accurate or extremely close to accurate.
A monumental event that will reveberate or many years. They did in fact scrap 1/3 of the mighty Russian Strategic Bomber Fleet. This means, way less sortiees and Russia cannot build these anymore and their PAK-DA is no where near in sight.
Edit: @wyld.at.hrt it now appears that both A-50 hit were located in an area where the decomissioned one were left. So unfortunately, likely no change in A-50.
But in all honesty, hitting them would be a bonus to what had already been acvhieved.
