It honestly kind of was, in a very disturbing way, I’ll hastily add. I was as usual trawling twitter for geopolitical news and the war, then that headline and picture popped up and…well, I suppose I can be a terrible human being at times, so I thought about sharing it and defiling the innocent minds of you guys, since I myself have been contaminated.

Our labradoodle recently became a therapy dog. My wife did classes with her and there were various tests in different environments and so on.
Mrs ROTW has taken her to a couple places so far - a preschool and a couple of residential homes, and there’s something about having a dog around that has added something good to the environment.
On a related note, my wife’s friend went through the same programme with her own dog. Her mother has Alzheimer’s and is at the stage where she hasn’t talked for over six weeks. Not good. Anyway, she took the therapy dog over there and her mother started talking again. I can’t explain the link, but there was something rekindled, deep inside, about having a dog around, and it got her talking again.
