Massive pedestrian bridge opens in Portugal.

A 516-metre-long pedestrian suspension bridge was opened in Arouca, Portugal, on Thursday. It allows visitors to walk 175 metres above the Paiva River.

Better not be afraid of height!

How long before that becomes Portugal’s number one suicide spot?

You are too cynical, oh wait :stuck_out_tongue:
I’m thinking more like bungee jumping or para-gliding spot :star_struck:

Based on the footage, it doesn’t look like bridge can be easily reached by cars. It seems to be that there is a long hike before even getting to the bridge. Perhaps by the time the suicide seekers reached the bridge, they would be too exhausted to commit suicide?

Now, the question I would like to ask is: What about an immature adult, decided that he/she wants to bounce and sway on the bridge with other people on the bridge. Would the mob literally throw the miscreant off the bridge?

Personally, I’d throw ALL little miscreants off the bridge

They could rename it Gobshite Gorge.

Or whatever the Portuguese equivalent may be.
