Indykalia hyping something up?

Never, next you’ll be telling me that Football insider doesn’t have inside sources.

@Livvy, the said individual even self proclaimed a “five stars fuckwitt”, so don’t take him seriously.

Keep posting @Livvy,

Thank you for your time and effort.:folded_hands::palms_up_together::+1:

We get an idea of what is going around the football global planet and don’t have time to go through all the media. We like to know what is happening around the world.

I find Indykailia entertaining. We do need a few laughs now and then.

Please don’t stop posting your links — they make it much easier for me to follow stories, even if you usually beat me to them! :winking_face_with_tongue: It’s great to have options, and people can choose whether they want to read the link or not.

Looking a little bit at the Netherlands’ (improved results recently) latest squad and wondering what might their back 4 be like. Thinking maybe Timber, vHecke, vDijk and vdVen (he’s been used at LB for them). That could be pretty solid. Then you can play with other options if you want something more attacking than that.

We have 12 senior players who are away, what about the rest? They’re not all injured, are they?

A good few of them are injured and some are not called up (like Gomez, who himself wasn’t 100% last time we got an update on him and Jones), simple.

Without injuries, that would be 5 more certain internationals.

And that’s senior wise, not counting kids.

Yeah Gomez and Jones weren’t called up and Alisson is injured.

Gomez Chiesa and Jones can practice sitting on a bench at Kirkby while Slot’s away. Endo could participate if injury permits. If not Ramsay can take his place.

i dont think Ramsays ready for that level of pressure…

Defense has not been the problem for the Dutch this generation. Aside from the ones you’ve mentioned there is de Ligt, de Vrij, Botman, Ake, Geertruida, Dumfries, Maatsen, Hato, and that’s just off the top of my head. The Dutch problem has been attacking players, best summed up by the fact that Memphis is still first choice striker, and Wout Weghorst still sees time there.

More young guys have been getting time in their club sides: Malen, Brobby, Cody, Summerville, Lang, and the ever overrated Simons, as well as our own Frimpong, who provides width at RB or wing. The big question is, who does Koeman choose? He has shown a penchant for going with older, more experienced players over the younger guys. I ever have hope, and will be in Houston 20th June to root on the Oranje, but my faith in Koeman is nearing empty.

Individual names are not a guarantee for anything, it’s about getting the balance right. I’ve seen some nearly comical defending in the past for example from Geertruida (though I think he played CB at the time, probably not his best position).

To put it short, it’s not an amazing selection of players in all positions, but some balance has been restored. It is questionable how far can you go with this group. We’ve seen weird things happen, but I don’t know what sort of expectation could one place on this selection.

They’re coming on the back of a WC QF and a EC SF + Nations League QF. Twice went out on penalties against that tournament’s champions.

At least ours are real injuries but Arse players are getting injured like flies before the friendly England matches as preparation for the WC the only real injuries they have is their pride at losing to Shitty.
