Actually yeah

So we might have about 10-11 players at the WC.

Not counting the likes of Konate, Robertson and Salah, who will either leave or their contracts haven’t been prolonged so far.

Apparently Frimpong came on at half time, but taken off 10 minutes later. :slightly_frowning_face: :man_facepalming:

Some serious Italian theatrics going on. It’s all happening with a man down.

Jesus Roo! You got up early to watch Italy? Are you a Paisan?

Negative. Dinky Di Aussie.

I’m normally up at 5 but missed most of the action this morning and only saw the last 20 of the Swede Pole game. Was hoping for Poland for my Polish friends.

Then onto Italy and sorry to say hoping they lose.

I think they will find a cynical way through.

Love these type of matches. Better than joke friendlies. Can’t wait to head to the Pommy press shortly.

Why? Do you have one of those kind of jobs?

Always glad to see Italy lose although a good mate is Italian descent.

Traveling to support Iraq in a World Cup 2026 qualifier playoff match vs. Bolivia in Monterrey, Mexico.

Yes, surprise surprise, football fans have banners in foreign languages. :joy: That’ll be fun, won’t it?? :upside_down_face:

Not work. To firstly catch any world football match of interest and then gym class or walk/run all before work. Too easy.

But you do have to feel do those narrowly beaten.

Meanwhile in WC prep the mighty Australians had a convincing win over new World Cup heavyweights Curacao. What must Italy and other past big name Euro teams be thinking.

It’s designated as an Ivory Coast home fixture, so it is up to them where they play. Given where their players are based, It would have suited them to be in England or France. A stadium in Newcastle, Manchester or Liverpool would guarantee a reasonably full stadium (Liverpool is only a 4 hour drive from Glasgow.)

I can see this World Cup being a total shambles. Some of the stadium venues haven’t been given their WC secirity funding yet.

I think the Dump administration want certain cities to fail, the ones who don’t align politically with the burnt orange faced git. So, he can blame them after the tournament.

My heart is torn whether to watch the World Cup or boycott it. I want to support the home nations and countries i like, especially the smaller nations who hardly qualify, but I don’t want Dump getting the satisfication how great it all was because of him either. :frowning:

And i would think many in Liverpool have Scottish ancestry.

Foxborough was not issuing the event permit until it was in place - the event permit was only granted when Kraft put up a security for it.

Its a trend that started a few years ago where teams from far away places play their ā€˜home’ fixture in England (or other parts of Europe) to reduce travel time for their European based players, and reduce them dropping out. Might generate bigger gate revenue too.

No point playing in Scotland because that’s where their opponents are from.

That they should win a couple of games? Euro teams complaining about getting into the World Cup are absurd, it is the easiest qualifying route there is. UEFA groups are set up so that a power really only needs to win one serious match and draw the other.
