Maybe, NEC in the Netherlands makes a battle to the participation for Champions League next season.

My friends from Rangers FC (Hamburger SV and the “Gers” have a fan-friendship bond for lot of decades) are two points forwards of Celtic. Leader are Hearts of Midtlothian.

Yeah hoping Hearts do it.

Hearts or Rangers. Both are better than Celtic.

Hearts if anything. Breaking the Old Firm dominance is long overdue.

Yeah Hearts simply because it’s not the old firm.

Don’t know why but seeing people talk about Hearts and coventry today has made me think of my old Panini stickers collection in the 80’s.

Yeah, and the Scottish teams always had two players split onto the one sticker.

I used to wonder whether up in Scotland their sticker books were the other way round.

I also remember needing that Hearts badge for ages one year and no one had it as a swap. Hope they win the league haha

Ooof…Just read this on Reddit: Benfica Finishes an Undefeated Season in the Portuguese Primera Liga. They Finish Third and Fail to Qualify for the Champions League.

It was reported in the week that the UEFA nations league would be taking on a new format from 2028, similar to the Champions League group stage:

UEFA nations is not really the issue, it’s not a bad competition anyhow.

It’s the qualifiers than are worse than awful.

Initially, I heard that this would apply to the qualifiers as well. I could see the CL format working well for them. There is still the chance for smaller nations, but it would mean that you wouldn’t get every other game being England home and away vs Nania or The Shire.
