you’re welcome!
I think Man City have cheated, systematically, thoroughly, and we have therefore been cheated out of numerous trophies we might have otherwise won.
Is the PL fixed?
Hard to say, for me. There’s circumstantial evidence though.
Man City have thrown a lot of money at the Government, and now, with 115 charges over them, it’s a desperate pickle.
Liverpool have been harshly dealt with, by a strangely narrow band of officials, and have therefore had the scales tampered with, against us.
It only needs a little in the plus column for a rival, and a little in the minus column for us, and a gap opens up.
I’m not willing to go as far as saying the Prem is fixed, but there is bias, an odd quantity of bad decisions against us, and the biggest cheaters we have seen have not been held to account, and on that last part, we know there have been government conversations about it.
I only see circumstantial evidence on the PL being fixed. Not enough to fully tip me to that point of view. Bias, corruption, yes, definitely.
Your response is measured, thoughtful and answers the question to some extent.
The PL and PGMOL are perfect organisations within which corruption can occur. Does it? Dunno but there’s some really dodgy stuff going, gone on with conflicts of interest rife throughout both of them from the moment if their conception.
Broken
Never heard of them!
But it isn’t.
Except that you are wrong. Styx is the greatest rock band ever and the only reason they get a bad wrap is because most people are cynical assholes
You rang …
Haha @cynicaloldgit
If a book is trying to be four things, it’s probably not going to be very good.
It’s like takeaways that do multiple cuisines. You’re either a kebab shop or a pizza place or a Chinese or a chippy. You can’t be all four.
are you critiquing the book, or the book review?
Just making a general point.
I’ve read neither the book nor the review.
Chinese chippies tend to do very good chips, but yeah I tend to agree on the other stuff.
… and the best curry sauce :0)
“Liverpool aren’t going to win it.”
Thought I would resurrect this thread, given Mr Coote’s comment.
Has anyone actually seen the video of this, or are we all still relying on hearsay from that lying shite? Because if it’s the latter, can we stop? We of all people should know better than to believe they don’t make shit up.
It’s a comment that I have made on occasion in moments of rationality. The difference is that I have no sway over the results. (Screaming at the telly doesn’t count, does it?)
Do you know what the context was? It’s difficult to say without knowing what the rest of the conversation is.
Of course it does. Otherwise, why would people do it?
Do lucky pants work as well? I was buying some from C&A last night and hoping that they don’t mess up our form.
