Yeah, this thread is a good lesson sometimes to remind ourselves how some careers (for whatever reasons) can go south really quickly.

Down at Reading. Don’t know if it’s his father or mainly himself (probably the latter), but he’s just another one of a bunch of those lazy talents who quickly became comfortable with money, not improving futher (mostly not defending well enough and/or not creating/scoring enough goals), etc. Same goes for Ante Coric and a bunch of others.
Haha, you are reading my mind. I was just thinking of Coric. He was on loan from Roma to Olimpija last year. When was in the mood to play some football (10-15 mins per game) he made some nice plays. But that happened rarely and then he did his ACL (I think). Lazy bastard as you’ve said.
Yeah, they are technically really sound players. Who knows all the factors, we can only speculate from outside. But it’s obvious if they’re falling down the football pyamid that something isn’t right or not as it was planned (or overhyped). The similarity of those players is that they probably want the ball into feet and they’re nowhere to be seen in the defensive phase of the game. Sometimes they’re not physically up to it, sometimes they’re lazy, sometimes it’s also a bit of change of motivation/crap decisions/bad luck, often it’s both of the first two mentioned.
