January Transfer Window 2023

Weird that the move seemed to be dictated by Wolves, not Anderlecht (who he was already on loan with). I am all for loans being regulated in a way that best benefits young players, but that seems like a violation of competitive fairness for Wolves to seemingly unilaterally move him from a side where he is playing and seemingly important to a third side. Calling him back is one thing (as they’ve seeming done with Hoever at PSV), but moving him somewhere else seems unreasonable.

Don’t we do something similar?

We have called players back who have not played. And with Williams we seem to have called him back seemingly to fill Phillips’ spot in the first team. I dont think we have watched a player become an important player (played 30+ games and scored 10+ goals in half a season) and then moved him on unilaterally to a different team half way through the deal. Anderlecht have seemingly complied, but think that is a representation of how little recourse they have and how valuable being able to borrow players from a side like Wolves are.

The Bad Old Days

Christ that is dire. I feel for Cole in that list as according to his telling he had already committed prior to Roy getting the job. He was signed to be Rafa’s new Aimar with acknowledgment of his injury, and ended up being asked to play in the 1980s

Thought he would be one of the players we could consider alongside Chiesa. Oh well, looks like another boat has sailed.

Weston McKinnie is crap to be fair.
