On the German advice platform ‘Gutefrage.net’, a German user (who claims, regrettably, to be German and who can’t stand the German national team) makes the following remarks about Jürgen Klopp:

‘[…]If you ask English fans about Jürgen Klopp, they say he’s a very good manager, but also rather overrated. They reckon that, during his time at Liverpool Football Club, he really should have won far more trophies. Comparisons with Eddie Howe quickly spring to mind, and it’s argued that he simply had one more good player (Kieran Trippier) and led a team facing relegation into the Champions League. They also point out that Howe brought a trophy back to Newcastle for the first time in seventy years, even if it was the less prestigious League Cup. This was such a big story that the news channel ‘Sky News’ spent the whole of Saturday afternoon covering the victory celebrations.

Whilst Jürgen Klopp is held in high regard by English fans, this is nowhere near as much as he is by Germans or as they imagine him to be. It is argued that he should actually have won more titles during his time in charge and that it is largely down to the majority owner, John Henry, that Liverpool FC have enjoyed a certain degree of success.[…]’

What do you think about this?

@RedWhippet @Livvy @mattyhurst @Magnus @Bekloppt etc. etc.

I think: That’s nonsense. And on my oponion (as a non-Liverpool fan): It’s only important, Jurgen as a legend in the world of Liverpool FC and they fans love him.

But the user of ‘Gutefrage.net’ dislike his German nationality and the Germany national team.

What is your oponion?

The user in the same post:

‘[…]When it comes to Jürgen Klopp, however, many believe he is a very good manager, but also that he is rather overrated and should actually have won more during his time at Liverpool FC. English fans perceive Jürgen Klopp somewhat differently to the Germans, or to how the Germans imagine him to be.[…]’

Well, Waldmeister1234 is entitled to their opinion.

I do know, which club in England Waldmeister1234 do support. But he says, he are unfortunately (!) a German and dislike the German national team. Maybe for this reason, he says this words.

Any reason ss to why he dislikes the German national team? Is it a club before country thing?

The post by “Waldmeister1234” was written before the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In other words, before Jürgen Klopp became manager of the German national team.

He do support the England national team and England have (from their point of view) a rivalry with Germany. And despite his German nationality, ‘Waldmeister1234’ do chant ‘Ten German bombers’.

The 114 confirmed charges go a long way to explain the “limited” success Klopp enjoyed at Liverpool.

But anyway this is all nonsense, how can you compare Eddie Howe to him with a straight face.

Of course: Jurgen is a, we Germans says, ‘Welttrainer’. Eddie Howe? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

It is a wind up (Provokation). Someone attempting to be funny.
Not worth reacting to really.
