A bit from column A and a bit from column B.
I used to be of the opinion that Pep is a bit of a fraud in the sense that he had a once in a generation team and Barca, a great bunch of top class players at Bayern, and a filth of riches at Man City so how could he not succeed. But it does take talent to coach top class players.
That makes what Jürgen does even greater. To do what he did at Dortmund (it’s not so easy to close off a title win, he got it done twice) and what he’s done with us so far, while having big spending limitations, is just crazy good!
Klopp is not only the last man to have stopped City winning a title in england, but also the last man to stop Bayern winning a title in germany.
No other man born from his mother could’ve done what Klopp did at BVB or Liverpool, that’s a stone cold fact. That’s why he’s the best ever. Generational.
I read somewhere that only THREE managers have denied Pepsi a league title; Mourinho (with Real), Conte (with Chelsea), and Klopp. The first two managers never had to worry about money (or referees).
Shanks, Paisley, Fagan and Dalglish spring to mind…
Happy Birthday, Jürgen
Thanks guys,
Jürgen

The only person in football I have faith in.
Well then I hope for your sake Matty he never gets an offer from the Saudi’s so that faithfulness doesn’t get put to the test.
I doubt he will if he does so be it but to me he is more than that.
I noticed someone else who didn’t go there, did spend a couple of months in China but generally I’ll let that spell off.
Probably should include Rafa in this.
I think he’s intimated before that he’s done with managing serious clubs or chasing serious cash after the Liverpool job. There’s a clause in his contract which says that FSG has to build him a nice retirement home. I think he’s probably only half joking about retiring to Switzerland and managing a swiss team.
Now that would be a sight to behold! He’s welcome anytime!
Yeah, I could see him going back to Germany after us. To live in Mainz and then either take over Germany or a Bundesliga club. In whichever order.
