God it must feel like such a relief for him this morning.

Get through all the final day stuff and all those goodbyes. Wake up and aren’t wondering about when players will be back for pre-season or what kind of shape they’ll be in after summer tournaments. No conversations in the diary on who’s in and who’s out during the window. No summer tour to plan holidays around.

It’s an immensely privileged position to have occupied for so long and to get to leave from on your own terms too but my god the weight off his shoulders this morning must be immense.

I started to watch Liverpool games in 1996. Aside from sporadic moments of glory under Gérard Houllier and Rafael Benítez the times were mostly uninspiring. Then came Klopp. I haven’t experienced the Bob Paisley, Bill Shankly, and Kenny Dalglish eras, but now I can imagine how enthralling those times had been. Thank you Jürgen, for nine years of mind-numbing serenity.

The Normal One, yeah, right

Pretty much the same with me. Started following Liverpool in 95

We were a machine from the mid seventies until 1990.
A juggernaut of success. There were other successful teams in that period, Forest, Villa, even Everton, but we were favourites every year.
Jürgen’s team had to compete in an unfair competition, as we all know, and would have won more under fair conditions. We were always the underdog for that reason, even when we were at our best.

Is it too soon to move this thread into the Ex-Reds one ?

Beautiful video and lovely song. Cast, one of the finest bands to come out of Liverpool. They have made some wonderful songs. This song is a huge favourite of mine. It fits the occasion.

@Bekloppt , please tell Iftikhar some not so boring songs. Ifti’s a 90’s guy acting out like he’s COG’s age

He’ll be here next season. Henry said so.

Biggest single ‘event’ downer I can remember in my time following the club. Not to mean any disrespect to the 97

But man alive, this hurts. :face_with_head_bandage:
