Jürgen Klopp - Liverpool Legend

Ifti has the worst taste in music since Frank Farian. He should never be allowed near it.

This has probably been posted already. Apologies if so. It’s brilliant!

That’s a fitting tribute, well done. Some other moving tributes in here as well. :+1:

That team played the best football I’ve watched playing in my life. Thanks Jürgen for putting all of it together, and making us dream like you did. It was a fantastic time.

YNWA as you know Jürgen, all the best for your and your familie’s future.

That team only played together once, apparently.

The best 11, arguably in our history, in a team. Not necessarily world class as every single individual, but these 11 played as a world class team. And how some of these players are so ‘normal’ and rose to the top winning everything they could win world club football, that is what Liverpool is about. The underdogs come good. And I hope this new generation of players will do us proud again.

When I close my eyes, this is the Liverpool team I see.

That’s not really a special stat though: perma-crock Joël is in the team!

Surely that was a fairly regular starting team, especially during our CL winning season?

I just read it recently.

I normally privately intensely dislike hero worship, particularly when you don’t truly know the person you so greatly uncritically admire. But Jurgen Klopp is the closest I have come to being an uncritical fan boy for, in sports.
I will greatly, greatly miss him and it pains me that I could not watch his last game at Anfield. I am still, ever since he said he was leaving, kind of “football depressed” and will be for some time still.

Note to my friend, the always delightful @cynicaloldgit : Nope, you may think about it, but keep that (I can already see your fingers instinctively jerking towards the keyboard) beautiful thought to yourself for now  You know I greatly admire your consistency, but in advance, fuck off for the incoming smart ass comment :smirk: (because of course you will :fu: )

Oh, that is weird…

Probably the key word is ‘started’. Due to various reasons like injuries, they might not have started matches together but might have ended matches together through subs etc. But it is indeed a mindblowing stat. In fact, I think now that Henderson was told of this stat and he asked, did you tell the boss that? He was very surprised and was sure Klopp will be surprised by that.
