Jürgen Klopp - Liverpool Legend

We effectively got enough points to win the title when we beat Bournemouth the week before it was curtailed.

If any season deserves an asterix it’s the one they won the following year.

Could see him return and take over for 2,5 years.

He had his break and is working again. Doing lots of stuff outside of his job which suggest he might be ‘bored’ a bit.

With the hierarchy in place (Edwards, Hughes, Ward,…) it seems that we should be able to make it less stressful than it was before for him.

I think it was.

I don’t think Jürgen will come back, although I would love him to come back.and steady the ship. He said, he he’s done everything with club football.

I think he may go on later and manage the German National team.

Most importantly let’s not make the same mistake Dortmund have made, by constantly comparing new managers to Klopp (not just fans, even the club people themselves). He’s gone, he left. Memories and all that.

I can assure that is exactly what I will be doing. It’s impossible not to do it, though I will try to keep those comparisons to myself out of respect for the next guy and the next guy and the next…

I can’t see Klopp ever coming back. Just listening to the tones of his interviews, the way he talked and looked at the end of his reign with us, he just seems done with all of the daily nonsense, especially around the media side of things.

If a vacancy does come up in terms of the managerial position, it’s not going to be Klopp IMO.

I would go with the old adage: don’t go back.

Klopp should enjoy his life and right now Slot needs our support. Granted he has a lot of work to do to get a system and a tune out of the talented bunch at his disposal, but he should be backed to do that.

He won the league in his first season. That buys quite a lot of patience,

Come on Arne, we’re with you!

I am with you, we went back to Kenny, and that didn’t work.

Although I love Kenny, Jurgen is however, a better coach

Kenny also had much longer to recuperate and a more immediate reason to have burnt out. Jurgen coming back would not end well and he and the club would be unwise to ever consider it.

As a short term break glass option then fair enough. I would hope we don’t get to that point.

Imo the best team that’s ever been assembled by legitimate means in this country.
The side that finished 2nd in 2019 was shafted at City (Kompany on Salah) and against Leicester at Anfield (Keita non-penalty).
The title winning side was shafted at OT (foul on Divock) and against Burnley at Anfield (Robbo non-penalty).
Reffed fairly both seasons are 100+ points.

Refs in question? Taylor, Atkinson, Atkinson, Coote.

Agree with this. The ship has sailed, and besides, he clearly doesn’t want to return to football coaching. He said it in his interview.

(That being said, I’ll always miss the big man.)

I think he would come as an interim coach, so only temporarily for a while until we find someone new, if we really get into trouble.

No chance for that.

I would go for this.
