Jürgen Klopp - Liverpool Legend

Pretty sure we’d easily take potentially more success with Klopp ahead of what the outside perception of Liverpool post-Klopp would be. We already proved certain things last season, despite it being a squad almost totally made during Klopp’s era. A PL title is not won just like that, we know that better than most fanbases (of top clubs), because we see it so rarely in modern times.

And he’s not available, so it’s pointless at this moment. I feel like he wouldn’t run away from Red Bull and the life he’s building in Germany. There’s no way we know if he’s rested enough, it’s not even about doing nothing ever again, but he wanted to stop coaching (and stop coaching here), at least for a while, if not forever.

I believe Klopp in that podcast wanted to say that there’s always a possibility, he ain’t gonna say 100% never again.

But it most probably won’t happen again.

I don’t agree he’s the only one who could lift the club. A new face who coaches well and doesn’t pick favourites would boost us.

Also wouldn’t be against this though. It might go wrong, but it could also be a stroke of genius. Klopp might still have a good few years left in him yet.

Klopp would need to commit for more than a few months. Either he comes back full-time, or he doesn’t come back at all.

Personally, I don’t think that he is even considering it. He is happy where he is and with what he’s doing, and he certainly doesn’t need the stress of managing Liverpool for a second time with a huge burden of expectations on top of it.

He left us in rude health, too bad that it took a bit more than a year to make a mess of it.

I think Klopp would also need an assistant who could pick up the bulk of the training and workload, similar to under Ferguson. The difference now would be that Klopp wouldn’t be involved in transfer meetings either. I don’t think it’s possible for someone out there to do that role to what Klopp’s used to through Buvac & Lijnders, even though some folks elsewhere have a fairytale idea of Klopp as interim and Gerrard as assistant.

I also agree with the sentiments that he would linger over future managers the moment there’s a bad spell. Even if Klopp came back for 6 months, and the club with Klopp said it’s a one-time thing, people would still clamor for him the moment we played poorly under a different manager.

Like i said - Klopp has a job at Red Bull Football Group. An adviser role at Germany FA and just signed a contract to be a pundit at the World Cup.

Also Krawietz is an assistant coach in Leipzig and Pep works under Pep.

Hard to believe that Klopp would return midseason.

Does he get a say in this.

Klopp seems happy, relaxed and ten years younger than when he left. I doubt very much he wants any part of it anymore.

He’s busy playing Padel and rating hotdogs on Insta. As ISMF said, the club has gone in a different direction, one that Klopp repeatedly said he wouldn’t want to be part of.

There’s zero chance of him coming back to this

Absolutely not.

You can love something/someone but at the same time know that it’s too draining for you to take on again.

I’m not entirely sure Jürgen would like to be part of sinking his successor either…

Yeah that would be weird too. Jurgen also bigged up Arne.

Ljinders…

That wouldn’t be on Klopp, if it were to happen (I don’t think it will).

Was in charge twice and failed miserably. Under no circumstances do I want him as our head coach

Yet he’s now under Pep. Which baffles me a tad

I think he does well with someone telling him what to do

Some assistant managers never develop to manager or head coach. Buvac went to coach and was rumoured to a few jobs and now is a sporting director in Russia.

Whether by choice or natural ceiling, being a segundo suit some people perfectly.
Using myself as an example, through the decades, I was involved in the Exco of quite a number of clubs and associations, both professional and avocational.
Was Honorary Secretary for at least three, during different periods. Never have eyes for the Chairman/President position.
Even in informal groups/gatherings, I prefer to be behind the frontman.

Managers/head coaches are different gravy. All the technical knowledge and experience alone is not enough. You have to have a level of charisma, personality, charm, and emotional intelligence. Not everyone has the right combination of all those elements.

It’s why managers like Jurgen are so rare.
