also on tv all the time with ads like trivago
It is said to have complete control over a workforce… You need,
a) Authority of Position
b) Authority of Knowledge
and most importantly…
c) Authority of Personality…
Without just one of the above, the others are not adequate
Jurgen (and Shankly), have/had the three in abundance
Does it matter? It’s not a matter of whether it’s “on him” or not, there’s a reason why Shankly was banned from our training sessions, and why we mock United for forever being under the shadow of Ferguson. There will always be that perception of him waiting to step into the boots again, so he wouldn’t want that.
Klopp is not appearing at Kirkby like Shankly did at Melwood nor a club ambassador like Fergie was until recently (but still coming to games regularly).
I don’t think Klopp would have an issue of taking over for Slot (or anyone else), but it most probably ain’t gonna happen for other reasons.
The club makes decisions and professionals understand how the game works.
Terry Gibson, spanish football journalist was saying on the radio right now.
Xabi Alonso needs to win tomorrow’s match otherwise he will get the sack and one of the people Real Madrid hierachy are very interested in is Jürgen Klopp.
Jürgen don’t do it!!
You think Liverpool aged Jurgen? He’ll age double that amount with just one season at Madrid.
He will have taken complete leave of all his senses if he ends up in the Real Madrid hot seat.
He has aged in reverse, ![]()
So pleased for him. I wonder if he still watches all our team’s games.
Nope, I’m pretty sure he’s have no hair left!
Only Real Madrid could sack a manager because their players don’t like pressing and playing with intensity, and decide the answer to that is to appoint Jurgen Klopp.
Exactly
! They are a club who have gone mad and are obsessed with big Ears trophy.
Jürgen would quit after 1 week. He wouldn’t let them sack him first.
They haven’t done too badly in the last 10-15 years compared to their mid to late 00’s.
Weather, location, and being the Spanish capital with hugely favourable conditions facilitated by the Spanish government might have given them a slight head start.
Just slight.
Cannot go back to Jurgen short term or in my opinion at all.
Especially short term, because whoever comes in after will again and always be compared to Jurgen by both players and fans.
We’ve made the break and although we all loved Jurgen we need to move on, because no one will stand up in comparison as a total package to him.
We just have to accept the reality and hope our current manager can get through this difficult period and also back him where applicable.
Again, it’s personal opinion, but I don’t think the club would mind it or better to say, those would not be the reasons not to do it.
IF there would be interest from both sides to be back together, I think they would do it pretty easily. Do I think it happens in the future? Probably not. Liverpool is big enough (or should be?) to deal with what can come with it.
The rest is just much less important, as in would Klopp feel like him coming back was part of sacking the previous man (depends how it happens, but I don’t think so), Liverpool and Klopp going back (I don’t agree that you should categorically never go back), etc.
Madrid’s been so spoiled w/ all Champions League
trophies that two years without one has them acting like abandoned babies. , 6 champions Leagues in the last 10 years will do that to a club..
I’m still angry that Ramos didn’t get sent off for assaulting Mo.
That was disgrace by Ramos absolute helmet
Looks 10 years younger. And drunk.
