I think Klopp did it to cover himself, he won’t know for sure and if say it comes out one player isn’t then as usual they will pile on him for being a hypocrite.
If one or two players come out having not had it then he can say well I said 99% of the club.
Yeah, he hasn’t got a calculator out. He’s basically saying that pretty much everyone at the club has had the vaccine as far as he’s aware. It could be everyone, it might not be only one or two. He’s just making the point that vaccine uptake at Liverpool has been really high.
Looks like this now leaves just the two who I think we knew wouldn’t play.
Still enjoying the ride.
6 years of turning doubters into believers. We’ll be talking about him in the religion thread in years to come!
Let’s hope he adds a few more photos of triumphs yet before he leaves but I said at the time of Houllier anyone who wins the title will go down with the legends of this club it took another 15 or so years and thus created the legend even more.
Klopp may be (for me anyway) the only manager who would have been a legend even without winning a trophy.
But since he did we never need to worry about that particular debate.
100% agree with this.
Klopp reminds me of the famous Shanks quote
“Liverpool was made for me and I was made for Liverpool”
Legend
He really needs to hug everyone on and around that pitch, doesn’t he? If he could have, he’d have been gone on to hug every supporter as well!
He is known for his intense counter pressing after all.
“Football coach and advertising icon Jürgen Klopp, 54, is not an artist in the legal sense, despite all his successes. That was decided by the Darmstadt Social Court in the dispute between the Deutsche Rentenversicherung and Klopp advertising partner Opel.”
The insurance company had asked the car manufacturer to pay back contributions to the artist’s social security fund in the six-figure range for the period 2011 to 2015 because the then Dortmund coach Klopp had appeared as an artist in the commercials.
However, in the judgment published on Wednesday, the court ruled that prominent coaches and professional athletes must be classified according to their main occupation. The activity as a testimonial, i.e. brand ambassador, should not be seen as art.
Oh God, watching that is making me emotional. What a night!
Only Shanks and Houllier have won two away to Man Utd in a row
There is alot of chat at the moment of how Ferguson left the scum in a bad way when he retired with no succession planning. Whenever I hear this it always gets me thinking about when Klopp does call it a day and leaves Liverpool.
Most of our first eleven are either in their 30s or not far off it. Only Trent has a good while yet before he reaches 30. I wonder is it Klopps plan to keep this group of players at the club as long as he is manager to try and win as much as he can for the next three or four years and let the next manager rebuild the team the way he wants to. I know we are going to add more players in the next few years but are they going to be signing to try and win now or for the future. Thiago was a signing to try and win now.
I hope when Klopp calls it a day our first eleven is not hitting mid 30s leaving us with an aging squad that needs a full rebuild.
