Impressive. I think he will definitely have a career at a top level league but whether that will be with Liverpool in the long term, I think its really up to him to now grab it with his legs. He has a coach that believes in him and he has the attitude to go with. I think if he can be coached to decide what runs to go for, when to press and when to retreat, he might be our next ‘Bobby’ style of forward.
Great performance especially in the press and keeping the pressure up.
He will need to shoot more though… because it is the rare forward that survives at a top club these days without the scoring numbers.
Koumas has a good shot and was never bad in this area but he will have to transition this to senior levels.
I think he made more runs in behind the defence last night than Isak in his last ten matches combined! His work ethic is a sight to behold - I got tired just watching him make a run after run after run. It’s a shame he didn’t convert his chance, I thought it was a good save rather than a poor finish, but it won’t hurt his prospects if he continues getting himself into those positions often.

To be our Bobby style forward, he will need to have much more than that, especially on the ball and tactically. And we saw in pre-season that he might be lacking in those areas. We’ll see, no need to overexaggerate about him now or what he might do in the future. He’s here on merit and getting some minutes.
Did well last night, didn’t think he’d be our #9, but obviously the pressing aspect was important. He came back from Hull looking like a man. Jakirovic did a good job with him, it seems.

He’s been great off the ball so far, but he has to show more in possession if he wants to make it at Liverpool long-term.
The good news is that with Iraola in charge, he’ll get more than a fair chance to establish himself.

Funnily enough the Hull fans really didn´t rate him, but it seems like Jakirovic did indeed toughen him up a bit.
He stuck with him quite a bit even when he wasn´t playing well. Koumas did score a few nice long shots though. Has that in his locker.
For Jakirovic, hard working, running and defensive organization are non negotiables. His teams have always been physically quite fit and ready to work. As soon as I saw Koumas in pre-season, you could see that he developed physically and had energy to press, regardless where he played.
