I keep calling him Jason by mistake!
I just checked his bio and he was born in Chester but plays for Wales like his Dad. I was wondering if he was born in Cardiff.
Does he count as local? We went to school on the Wirral and played for Tranmere at youth level.

His dad was a skilful player. Should have had a better career in my view.
Lewis definitely has a great work ethic and attitude. To be honest I don´t really see enough ability on the ball but he´s going to get plenty of chances this season and hopefully he can do well.

Do you mean a scouser? Owen was also born in Chester but he’s definitely not one.
Well he didn´t win many trophies. We´d probably have won the title with quality out wide instead of Kuyt tbh, who was a striker on the wing.
Same abilities? Very debatable.
Kuyt wasnt very technical but he was a good, proven goal scorer. Good in the air, decent shot and very strong. He had good timing in the box. They´re not similar at all really apart from working hard. Obviously Koumas is only 20 but I dont think he has shown similar yet. He showed a decent long shot, from his time at Hull
More that he was from our local catchment area. It looks like he was brought up in the Merseyside area.

I find him oddly cute but he’s way way way too young.
Anyhow what I meant to contribute is that there are plenty like him that on the basis look decent but make a career and at 21 he’s got time on his side. Different places but to me he looks better than Morton who is now Ballon D’Or if you look at some of the comments on here about selling him.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he ‘replaces’ Tsimikas next season.
Think you might be thinking of Chambers, who plays LB. Koumas plays as a forward.

Looks like a player who’s never going to be a starter here but with his hard work he can do a job in different positions.
Tsimikas surely is leaving on a free next summer. Maybe that’s a chance for Koumas to actually start games for us in the long term.
Trying to understand your point, I genuinely am, but I’m just confused about how a forward would replace a left-back. 
I’d have major concerns if our plan for that position involved a right-footed forward.
For some reason I thought he’s left footed.

Re Chambers, since Iraola has made a choice to keep him, I think he should deserve a proper chance. He played well during pre-season, and neither Kerkez nor Tsimikas have covered themselves in glory over the past 15 months. Tsimikas in particular could not even break into frigging AS Roma’s starting 11 last season.
