Jacquet’s had a good half. Defensively sound.

For me it’s the timing, as in the trigger

Quite possibly with Konate. He wasn“t a reader of the game.

Was still quite poor from Kerkez and the midfield to let them get in like that though.

Nice goal from our new boy.

So is it too early to say we are gonna do the quadruple ?

2:0 is a very dangerous lead tbf

After LFC last season and England at the world cup I’m not used to feeling a desire to carry on watching a game after half time

Good stuff so far. We look reasonably organised and as slick as you“d hope to expect from this group. Jacquet obviously promising and even Frimpong.

Want to see Wirtz on the ball more and a few Isak opportunities.

Yes, but we have been done a couple of times by that little pass inside as we try to cut off the back pass, need to sometimes be a little bit more patient and squeeze them to trap them before over committing.

Jacquet v good showing!
Frimpong looking good.
Isak sharp.
Gakpo looks like he did the season before last.
Need to find a way to get Wirtz in more. For me the midfield isn’t quite right

Oh we’re absolutely losing 3-2 but that was good to watch

It’s only been 45mins but Mr Jacqet is looking like a class act.

Is John Bradley on something…

That was a fun half. Jacquet might be the second best centre back in the world. I’m just putting it out there.

A rock at the back and a goal on his debut… I wonder what else Jacquet has up his sleeve?

Hopefully a fully healed shoulder

I’m happy with what I have seen from Jacquet so far. Kop seemed to use Seven Nation Army as his song. Not sure if they can do better.

Incidentally, every time I hear Como mentioned, I think of this:

I agree on the Wirtz point. It“s not going to happen with this midfield two behind him though in my view. Dom wants to run and shoot, not pass to a 10.

Perhaps with Jones or in other games with Mac or Nyoni behind him.

Wirtz had an opportunity to shoot towards the end of that half from just outside the box, but tried the pass which was cut out as the defence backed off to cover runners.

If he takes the shot, obviously has the chance to score but then it also makes the defenders think twice and have to come out to stop the shot which may then open a passing channel.

Where’s the videos of the goals?!
