That’s all true, but my original point was that without Pep they wouldn’t have dominated us in terms of trophies, regardless of all their money and cheating. We’ve gone off on a massive tagent because someone decided to start finding a route to disagreement by talking about a different thing.
I hope they are charged and have their titles stripped and get relegated. But we all know that isn’t going to happen. If they are even found guilty, they’ll probably get finned a few million at worst which is like giving a normal person a 1p fine for breaking the law, commiting fraud and profiting massively from it.
Claiming they didn’t dominate because we beat them once more than they beat us is a totally ridiculous argument though and very obviously wasn’t the point I was making.
Wouldn’t it be more accurate to say they dominated other sides in the PL, and more importantly, dominated the favourable decisions of the PGMOL employee’s rather than they dominated LFC per se…
Jurgen created a squad, relatively on the cheap that went on to produce some of the most scintillating football ever seen… Pep went on a shopping spree whenever things got rocky for him (Benjamin Mendy for one)…
In the light of all facts, it is not possible to compare apples with apples in this given scenario… All I do know, is that it is not LFC being held to account for breaking the rules of the PL.
They have 5 leagues and we have 1 in the Klopp/ Pep era. Unless they get stripped then that’s what history will say no matter what we think.
It’s unfair to say the least, but it is what it is.
Klopp did a way better job than Pep with the resources available.
