I think spending money on CB would not be a priority even if small amount. However I think it’s a good idea to get someone in for a season or two. Someone who won’t ask to play alot or doesn’t need to play alot. I would suggest looking at the free agent market for the CB option. Stones, Alaba, Tuanzebe, Tomiyasu…not necessarily them but just examples.

I would take Stones as a backup!

Agreed on both, Trey just moves the ball comfortably and vertically on the floor.

Fede was interesting as we went with front 2, Fede and Koumas and there interchange in positions and passing was excellent.

I also liked Scanlon and for me Ramsey looked comfortable, better than Frimmy.

Very good 2nd half with some good interplay.

Isn’t that against the laws of physics?

Scanlon could be a better option than Tsimi if he can stay fit.

Perfect physics in regards to footy :squinting_face_with_tongue:

One game in and four goals… Let’s get the season started :0)

Trey was the standout. He looked so impressive. A good pre-season from him and I think he’s ready.

On Gomez, your heart just bleeds for him. Such a talented footballer capable of so much, and his body letting him down every time he plays. It’s heartbreaking.

Have we heard yet, the severity of Joe’s injury?

How did Marmardashvilli play?
Frimpong getting slaughted on socials. How he play?

We mostly seem to be Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. Wonder if there are any Gryffindor or Slytherin amongst the group - Flo may be the only such example but he’s clearly been suspended as he’s not in uniform.

He was fine, not sure why he has been singled out for criticism but guessing a lot of it is confirmation bias.

I think a lot of it is probably due to the slip that led to their first goal, but I think quite a few players were slipping so it’s possible the playing surface was a bit to blame there.

Yeah I hate criticism like that, he slipped on a shit surface, so what? The grass was cutting up the whole game.

If we want to have substantive criticism of anyone then Ndukwe doesn’t press Le Fee on the first goal and he plays everyone onside for the 2nd. But twitter hasn’t already turned on him so it won’t even be mentioned.
