Could someone who knows a bit about this take a look at it, please? I don’t really understand these rules.

Another thing Slot fucked up.
Slot continues to fuck us over after he left…
Basically ESC slots allow clubs to sign and use players who don’t qualify for a work permit. You can earn extra slots by using homegrown players more but we didn’t use enough.
For us though I think a loan for Ndukwe was always the plan anyway.
Can never really draw too many conclusions from these games but it was an enjoyable watch and some promise.
Nyoni was bright. I don´t watch youth team football so I don´t know quite whether he is a holding player or could be a playmaker. He was physically solid and disciplined, and he looked positive on the ball. He wasn´t just going sideways and backwards. In fact one time I was a little annoyed by Szobo just standing behind him instead of making a run forward and Nyoni could only go back. He´s a little cocky too, which I like.
Never seen Ramsay play and thought he doesn´t look promising. I can´´t understand why Slot didn´t play him. Nice pass for the goal.
Rio struggled a little perhaps. He can be a predictable trying to get on that right foot, but plenty more to come from him.
Szobo´s goal was typical him.
Koumas had some good movement, though I am not sure he´s going to be LFC standard. Struggled at Hull but they played him on the flanks too much. Better centrally in my view.
Forgot to say, Morrison looked interesting. Decent dribbling and his passing game looked good. Whether he has the pace needed, don´t know.
Overall, pretty nice.
Really interesting he would say that, thanks for posting.
Don´t usually see players talk like

Edit
I honestly don’t think it matters much. Even if it’s minor he just cannot be relied upon to come into the team when needed and get through the game. If we go into the season with him as one of the main 4 options, especially when we have uncertainty over the Leoni and Jacquet, it would be negligence.
Nyoni deffo for me is someone who I expect to keep and I think with the options if we keep them then centre midfield is less of an issue.
I do think we need a defender though, if Stones fitness record was better that would be a no brainer but do we go for something more established or not. I do wonder if Schlotterbeck was an option but the injury ultimately killed that.
It’s the glaring issue however I do think the Sunderland team in the second half were weaker however if we continue to see the quality then I see several lads being kept around. As a fair few were impressive.
First time in a long time Chiesa didn’t look out of place which was nice.
We will surely bring a defender in asap. We have a raft of young players for the defence, and the future looks bright. But right now we are short and it is very obvious. Virg will come back and do well again, but he needs some help! Poor Joe Gomez just cannot stay fit, which we knew, but have just been reminded again.
In the nearish future you would have to think Jacquet and Leoni will come through, and then after that Ndukwe and Ndiaye.
But we need someone right now, and for me, all signs point to Zabarnyi - knows the league, knows what Iraola wants, slightly out of favor at PSG…
Mind you, he won’t be cheap. They paid almost 60M for him, and they will want that back, and maybe a little more on top.

This is a very interesting read
Thread using xcancel without restrictions.
I thought playing as a front 2 with Koumas worked really well with some good interplay and Chiesa actually had some very good 1st time lay offs, none more so than for Koumas’s goal.
Excellent video.
