The real issue is the lad has only just turned 18 and has one first team appearance in the Austrian league to his name. That’s why he can’t get a work permit.
He needs to play football so I doubt we had plans on him being a first team player and not would any other PL club.

Each English club also get an allocation of ESC players that they can use on players that fail to get a visa. What i am trying to figure out, is why don’t we send him on loan to another English team that will have ESC spots available, and offer them incentives to actually play him so that it benefits them financially, us as we get him playing in English football, and he gets a season of first team football
Yep a little frustrating at times he needs to pass a little more and try the give and go, especially as they are triple teaming him.
He needs to watch R9 regarding stepovers, one realstic stepover and gone.
I have just watched the game and that is what I thought watching him in this game and against Sunderland, not the same attitufe that I have come to you expect from him and as you said seems to have mentally checked out.
Does anyone have an explanation for why the captain’s armband was handed to Tsimikas every time, even though Curtis was also on the pitch? It happened again yesterday. There are quite a few comments about it.
After watched the game, pitch was bobbly and shite and looked tiny, may have been the camera angle.
Positves:
TREY, looked a seasoned professional and dictated the tempo and our best player atm playing through the lines.
Ndukwe, just seems so composed, also Chambers did well alongside him as he grew into the game.
Koumas, just gives everything and will be a pain for defenders.
Scanlon, good to see he is over his injuries a good option as a LB
Favourable mentions, Ramsey, proving he can do a job at RB
Negatives:
Jones, I have been a fan of Jones but he just doesn’t seem himself.
Harvey, as a few have mentioned his touch was off, but not easy on that pitch especially as on a lot if occassions he was receiveing the ball whilst under pressure.
Frimpong, I really want him to prove people wrong, but he looks like he’s skating on ice and is never in control.
It is pre-season and that needs to be taken into account, but it was another win and good minutes in players legs and Wrexham are no pushovers and defended deep.

I don’t think he was that good yesterday; he just needs to learn to keep things simple at times—he lost the ball far too often imo. He will learn that hopefully.
He still can’t get a work permit for the UK?!
I think the problem is that he can’t yet get a UK work permit therefore we can’t loan him to any UK club. He would have to go out on loan to club in a league more highly ranked than the Austrian second division, such as the Eredivisie. Maybe a loan until January would be enough to qualify him for a UK work permit.

I totally get the irrational dislike thing, we all have stuff that winds us up, but personally I couldn’t give a fuck if he walks around pouting at the camera 24/7 in bright blue lipstick, a solid gold headband and a diamond encrusted t shirt with a picture of his own face on it alongside the slogan ‘yeah, you know I’m awsome’, as long as he does the business on the pitch like he did last season!
Many, many, many people in our society are now self obsessed and performative, thinking they’re a fucking celebrity because they opened an Instagram account. If Dom wants to perform to the cameras then it doesn’t bother me - esspecially if on a weekend he’s banging free kicks in from 25 yards and giving us all moments of elation watching the team we love.
Yes it´s a bit of a worry of mine. We don´t have anyone in the midfield who moves the ball sharply and quick and play the ball through the lines consistently to Wirtz, who should be our star player. Maybe Mac when he´s not awful. Szobo has his qualities but he also messes about too much and doesn´t understand the value of an early pass.

I think this is absolutely what Nyoni brings. Obviously he’s young and is yet to establish himself, but this preseason is showing he’s ready to start making a mark in the first team this season. I think he has immense promise, and that’s why I wouldn’t want to hinder his progression by signing an expensive new CM to be another body ahead of him in the queue for minutes.
Luke Chambers also receives good review over his performance as CB.
However, he is too short to be a serious CB at PL level.
Definitely seems one of our players most likely to try it. I like that about him and it´s a positive for him and I would like to see him get some games where possible.
But realistically he´s still nowhere near somebody like Wharton so I wouldn´t be too bothered about hindering his minutes. The club comes first and we need that player right now.
Don´t get me wrong though, I like what he was trying. Maybe he´d even complement a very good passing player next to him, while he sits a bit.

Really hate the concept of loaning players and financially incentivising them to play our players.

Curtis and Dom are still arguing. Perhaps, in a situation like this, someone like Virgil, Ali, or Robbo is really missing. I don’t think Dom has enough authority of any kind. (except for the very young players)
Another way to read it is that he’s pissed off at the attitude of some of the players, which fans have also been calling out, and he’s letting them know. He expressed frustration at some teammates last season too with good reason.
Someone has to maintain standards.
Think people are looking for issues to be honest. Players will disagree. New coach, new system so bound to be some tensions as players adapt and everyone aligns to what’s being asked.
There’s a manager and coaching team there to address things if needs be and clearly they were happy the players were sorting whatever it was between them.
Curse of everyone having a video camera in their pocket is any little thing gets picked out and blown up when we have zero context what it’s even about.
