Something I like to see is wingers changing sides, I also, thought on occasions that both Mo and Sadio should have switched sides more often during games to give defenders something else to think about.

I remember something similar being said about Troy Deeney at Watford. He would start each season carrying a bit of extra weight, and this was said to be part of the clubās strategy on managing his fitness, as it would burn off over the first few months of the season.

i just assumed @Limiescouse was younger, maybe a bit taller, defintely fitter looking and he always struck me as someone who would look intelligent, not like what we see hereā¦ i never realised he was balding eitherā¦

Just wondering if Nyoni can be the cheaper version of Wharton for us?
Donāt get me wrong, Wharton has a body of work behind him for all to see. Nyoni is only just emerging and has it all to prove.
But the lad looks bloody good! He always looked comfortable on the ball as a youngster, but he was so slight that you couldnāt see him holding his own in the thick of a Premier League game. At 19 he is becoming a man, clearly working on his strength, and filling out his body.
Iām not all of a sudden putting him down as one of the hard men of football, 
but he at least looks like he fits the part, physically speaking.
As for his skill set, bring it on! He is calm and composed on the ball. He can take it on the half turn. He is not afraid to burst past a player to see it all open up.
And the best part is the passing. He has an eye for a pass and he is brave. Heās not one who is content to go sideways or backwards and play it safe. He is looking to get it forward, and with the attacking talent we have - and surely thereās more to come - it augurs well for Nyoni, as he will be looking to hit them early.
I take the fact that Iraola spoke about him so well as a big indication. I donāt think a loan is the next move for this kid. Obviously I could be wrong, but I think he will be earmarked for a role in the first team squad. Not as a starter, but as a back up who will see action in the Prem, and definitely the cups too.
Heās an emerging talent and he looks well suited to be the sort of midfielder that Iraola might polish into a real diamond.
The wings need work. Itās going to be pricey. We also need a central defender, and probably a right back. Of all the segments of the team the midfield, while not perfect, needs the least attention right now.
If the budget doesnāt stretch to a major midfield signing this summer, it might just be the sort of break that helps to launch a career.

IĀ“m still trying to figure out what he is. IĀ“m not sure heĀ“s got quite the expansive passing game of a Wharton or - dare to dream -a Thiago type player but he certainly has been (in the two games IĀ“ve seen this pre season) very positive and as you say, brave in terms of trying to make something happen. I know the modern game is obsessed with possession but as Thommo said, you have to go somewhere with it.
I probably see him more as a Fabinho still (or a Rodri if we are really lucky and he can pass very well), who will sit there, read the game well and distribute the ball efficiently but still positively. Would be great to have a player like that. I want both a Fabinho and a Wharton tbh
I havenĀ“t seen him anywhere near as much as you though. Ultimately, more importantly, I agree: donĀ“t loan him out. Get him around the first team and who knows, he could end up starting if he rises to it. HeĀ“s looking like he deserves his shot.

I know most of them have a preferred side but maybe you are going to play there 70% of their games but maybe we need you somewhere in the other side for some games because we want to exploit one concrete matchup or because we see there can be a weakness in the other side, something that tactically we can see if you have the chance to play both sides I think it becomes even better for you to have more minutes and also better for us because we can use the squad betterā¦ā
